Youth in Mind 2024
Safe spaces – emotional, physical and digital
Join us at the King’s Centre, Oxford on June 25th to discover the remarkable Kay Rufai, the first ever artist in residence for a UK police force, who has been making waves with his innovative approach to youth engagement and mental wellbeing. Kay is an acclaimed social entrepreneur, poet, photographer, and mental health advocate. He is the powerhouse behind creative and impactful projects such as S.M.I.L.E-ing Boys, which uses art and positive psychology to address mental health issues among young people.
On a mission to cultivate joy, resilience, and a sense of purpose, Kay is the perfect speaker to inspire anyone working with children and young people. He recorded the video below especially for Youth in Mind 2024, explaining his eight pillars of happiness work and inviting you to come and meet him at the conference. Read about his life changing S.M.I.L.E.-ing Boys Project in this article from The Guardian and
