A huge thanks to our wonderful Youth In Mind delegates for investing in the mental health of children and young people

25 June 2024

Over 400 youth sector staff learning, networking and workshopping

Youth in Mind 2024 sold out! Delegates discovered the remarkable Kay Rufai, the first ever artist in residence for a UK police force, who has been making waves with his innovative approach to youth engagement and mental wellbeing. On a mission to cultivate joy, resilience, and a sense of purpose, Kay is the perfect speaker to inspire anyone working with children and young people. An acclaimed social entrepreneur, poet, photographer, and mental health advocate, he is the powerhouse behind creative and impactful projects such as S.M.I.L.E-ing Boys, which uses art and positive psychology to address mental health issues among young people. If you weren’t able to join us, check out his video below to get a taste of what you missed.

Kay was joined by our other keynote speakers…

Mina Fazel, Professor of Adolescent Psychiatry at The University of Oxford, Kadra Abdinasir, Policy Lead at the Centre for Mental Health and Peter Leonard, Chief Executive of The Centre for Emotional Health, who helped us all to create emotionally healthy spaces for children.
