Jyostna Joesph (She/Her) is one of the newest members of the team. Let’s get to know her a little bit better.
I began my career in the charity sector in Oxford in 2022 when I joined the Response organisation as a Mental Health Support Worker. Working part-time while completing my MSc in Psychology at Brookes University, I was keen to understand the support systems available across Oxfordshire.
I joined the Restore Opportunities Volunteers to engage with psychiatric inpatient wards and, more recently, worked with St. Mungo’s Homeless Charity, Oxford, as a Complex Needs Caseworker for a short period of time. I hope to bring an approach led by passion, research, and collaboration to the team. I lead with my heart and believe in expressive and empathetic communication.
Other professional pursuits of mine include strong research experience in experimental psychology as a research assistant and project coordinator at Coventry University, as well as a background as a performing artist, dance fitness instructor, and Indian Classical dancer. I love a good book, poetry, or prose, and celebrating the little mundane things around me.
