Healthwatch Oxfordshire has just published its Annual Report for 2018/19. The report outlines the organisation’s key activities and achievements in 2018/19 and its focus areas for the coming year.
Last year, the independent health watchdog focused on securing improvements to dental services, encouraging greater awareness of men’s health checks and looking at ways to improve community physiotherapy services. In the coming year, it will focus on people’s experiences of using mental health services.
Rosalind Pearce, Healthwatch Oxfordshire’s Executive Director, states in the report: “In 2019/20, mental health is the theme to our listening activities. We have heard so much about people’s experiences of mental health services over the past few years and want to know more.”
Other priorities for the year ahead include listening to the families of military personnel, giving a voice to the voluntary sector, and working with neighbouring Healthwatch organisations on services that work across county boundaries.
