Organisational Development

As we know, youth organisations are facing continuing pressures in lots of areas including funding, recruitment of staff and volunteers and the time to keep up to date with local and national agendas and legislation; we offer a number of services to support organisations with this. These include advice and information about relevant funding, a DBS service, recruitment support and key information from local and national bodies.

Training & Events

At Oxfordshire Youth we believe in investing in staff and volunteers so that they can provide high quality services for young people. We offer a comprehensive training and events programme that is heavily subsidised for our members and engages all levels within an organisation. From our Principles of Youth Work training that is aimed at new youth workers and young leaders to Good Governance and Financial Responsivities training that is aimed at Trustees and Board members, we have training to offer everyone. All of our events are co-produced with your members, please get in touch if you would like to host or co-produce an event.

Youth Activities and Opportunities

Our vision at Oxfordshire Youth is for all young people in Oxfordshire to be empowered, feel respected and know that they are valued. One of the ways we do this is by offering a youth activities programme to all our member organisations. This programme includes bespoke youth work sessions, issue based workshops and fun and engaging activities for young people to try; all at subsidised rates for full members of Oxfordshire Youth. Some examples of sessions that can be run include:

  • Online resilience and cyber bullying
  • Body image and healthy relationships
  • Drug and alcohol awareness
  • LGBTQ+ and Gender empowerment
  • Bubble football
  • <li.Graffiti

  • Yoga and fitness pilates
