The Children’s Trust Board wanted to hear the views of children and young people in Oxfordshire, about how supported they feel by the services they access and use. VOXY and Oxfordshire County Council’s Engagement Team were asked to gather feedback from children and young people, so they created and promoted a questionnaire.
Some comments from young people:
“The people at youth club are very supportive and always there to talk”
“When I was upset and anxious I kept it bottled up inside of me because I didn’t know who could help me”
Overall respondents spoke positively of their experience feeling supported whilst using services in the county, however, the full report contains areas that young people felt could be improved.
Oxfordshire Youth believes passionately in the power of young people’s voices and offers three ways for young people to make theirs heard: VOXY, Voice and the Youth Awards. for more information check out the pages or contact us to find out how to get involved.
