Impact Evaluation, Impact Measurement, Theory of Change, Logic Chain. These are terms that have become more familiar in the sector but what do they mean? Oxfordshire Youth has spent the last 10 months getting its head around what we do, why we do it and how do we know it makes a difference. As a result of this learning we are excited to have produced an impact report and are in the process of looking at how we can share this learning with the sector. Research Oxford helped us on this journey and we are committing to continuous learning and improving our outcomes and the quality of our work.
To create this report, we spent time visiting and listening to our members, creating spaces for networking and sharing ideas, and creating meaningful opportunities for Voice, our youth committee, to influence our decisions. In addition, we have been collecting and understanding current publications and reports, collecting case studies and strengthening the evaluation of our work. All of this is so that we can have a better understanding of the needs of the sector and the children and young people that we all serve.
This report is a collection of our work and the impact that we have had on young people and the youth sector in Oxfordshire. It focuses on three key areas: Developing Skills for Life; Supporting the Sector and Mental Health and Wellbeing.
