Oxfordshire Children’s Safeguarding Board (OSCB) is launching a new local voluntary and community sector webpage as part of a refresh of its website. The Board has worked with voluntary sector representatives to develop a page which provides a summary of essential resources and tools – linked to relevant areas of their website for further information. The page also highlights current developments and events through a newsletter which is both circulated and posted on the site.

The page is intended to provide easy access to key information for both larger charities and local community groups. This update is just one element in a wider initiative to refresh the Safeguarding Board’s communications. Other actions include rebranding the website and creating a new logo, which is being performed in consultation with young people.

The VCS Children and Young People’s Forum, hosted by Oxfordshire Youth, has a standing item on safeguarding at its quarterly meetings and elects the representatives on the Safeguarding Board. The development of the new webpage is one aspect of a joint action plan agreed between the Forum and the Board to help strengthen safeguarding within the wider community and to raise concerns and emerging issues with the Board.

The next Children and Young People’s Forum meeting will take place on 28th September in Glow Hall, Blackbird Leys Community Centre. Join us in creating a stronger voice for the sector and building stronger relationships. Register for free on eventbrite
