A most unusual apprenticeship at the Story Museum … a Customer Service opportunity

Do you like meeting new people? Do you like stories? Are you full of enthusiasm and ideas? Would you like to be part of an exciting new museum project from the beginning?

a new museum – unlike any other

The Story Museum celebrates the power of story in all its forms, at our site on Pembroke Street – just a stone’s throw from some of Oxford’s most famous literary haunts – and out in schools and the community. Our large and dilapidated building is being transformed into a magical space to re-open to the public in Spring 2020. Writers, artists, children, young people, teachers and volunteers have all been involved in shaping the future Museum.

Our vision is to enrich lives, especially young lives, through story.

Our mission is to achieve this by developing a most unusual museum that collects and shares great ways of engaging with great stories.

We are now expanding our team and are looking for an enthusiastic customer service apprentice to help us provide our visitors with the best possible experience.

As the Story Museum continues to widen inclusion in relation to our workforce, audiences, visitor offer and collections, we welcome applications from groups currently under-represented in the cultural sector workforce; particularly individuals from Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic communities.
