It is currently funded by the National Lottery Community Fund (NLCF) awarded to Oxfordshire Youth (OY) as part of OY’s ‘Investing in Youth in Communities’ programme of sector support for organisations in Oxfordshire.
100% of the Children and Young People’s Forum participants who responded to the review survey, agreed that the forum has a positive impact on the sector, their work, strategic boards and helps them feel supported by their peers.
The aims of the Children and Young People’s Forum:
- To strengthen the relationships and collaboration of the voluntary sector organisations working with children and young people
- To increase opportunity for leadership within the forum through a steering team
- To increase opportunity for leadership in the sector through voluntary sector representation to strategic boards in the public sector
- To strengthen the two-way communication between statutory and voluntary sector organisations
