Help create positive change in your community
Oxfordshire Youth’s trustees are a friendly bunch and they would like you to consider joining them. Trustees are volunteers who lead charities and decide how they are run, so becoming a trustee is a great way of contributing to causes that are close to your heart and developing strategic and leadership skills at the same time.
We will offer you professional training, so this is a great opportunity to develop yourself and gain unique experiences to add to your C.V. You’ll also be given free access to all the events Oxfordshire Youth runs in order to build your professional network. Most importantly, you will get the chance to help us shape the future of chlidren and young people in Oxfordshire.
Oxfordshire Youth is a boundary-breaking organisation, passionate about creating a future for and with young people that offers them the best possible opportunity to realise their potential. We particularly want to hear from you if you have grown up in Oxfordshire and have previously been involved with our projects or those of other youth services.
You need to be between 18-30 years old but don’t need to have any previous trustee experience. You will be attending board meetings and reading reports in advance of each meeting to prepare for discussions and we will offer support with this part of the role. We want our Young Trustee to feel comfortable giving their honest opinions – Oxfordshire Youth enjoys a robust debate! Join us and speak up for young people in Oxfordshire.
