Resourcing the Youth Sector Across Oxfordshire.
As we reach the midway point of our five-year strategy, we are taking stock of progress to date. Looking back at the last 2.5 years allows us to reflect honestly on delivery, learning and growth, while also looking ahead to the next phase of our work.
Since April 2023:
These figures demonstrate the scale of our reach and the role Oxfordshire Youth plays both in direct delivery and in supporting the wider youth sector.
At Oxfordshire Youth, impact is created through the combination of evidence-led programmes, sector-wide support, research, and long-term strategic planning. Our work focuses not only on delivering services to young people, but on strengthening the youth sector across Oxfordshire so that change is sustainable and far-reaching.
Research underpins everything we do. By gathering data, listening to young people, and working with partners across the sector, we build a clear picture of what is working, where gaps remain, and where investment can make the greatest difference.
Our research informs programme design, strengthens funding bids, and helps partners align their work with shared outcomes. It also ensures our voice – and the voices of young people – are represented in local and regional decision-making.
Behind every statistic is a young person, practitioner or organisation whose story brings our impact to life. Our case studies show how youth work changes trajectories, builds confidence, and creates opportunities – whether that’s a young person finding stability, a practitioner developing new skills, or a local organisation strengthening its provision.
These real-world examples help us understand not just what is changing, but how and why change happens
