Become a Trustee at Oxfordshire Youth and join us in shaping a future in which every young person has the skills, support, and connections to thrive.
We are seeking to appoint two new Trustees with financial expertise: a Finance Trustee and a Treasurer. Both roles will play an important part in strengthening the charity’s financial governance, ensuring Oxfordshire Youth’s resources are protected, well managed, and used effectively to deliver our mission.
As a Finance Trustee, you will provide strategic oversight and assurance on financial matters, working with the Board and leadership team to support effective financial planning, risk management, sustainability, and accountability. You will help ensure that robust financial controls, reporting processes, and governance arrangements are in place to support informed decision-making.
As Treasurer, you will provide specialist financial leadership to the Board, supporting the charity’s financial stewardship and helping Trustees maintain a clear understanding of the organisation’s financial position. You will oversee key aspects of financial reporting, budgeting, reserves management, and financial controls, working closely with the CEO and finance team to ensure sound financial management.
All Trustees share collective responsibility for the charity’s governance and strategic direction. Trustees hold ultimate legal responsibility for all the charity’s activities, including safeguarding the charity’s assets, setting strategy, approving policies, and ensuring compliance through effective monitoring and reporting systems. Trustees also appoint the CEO and, on their recommendation, the Senior Leadership Team to manage day-to-day operations in line with agreed policies and strategy.
Applications and interviews will be reviewed as and when they are received.
